Sound Connections develops supports & empowers young Londoners through high quality music-making opportunities. We do this by delivering groundbreaking participatory music projects, providing professional development to music organisations and practitioners, and undertaking high quality action research and advocacy to promote best practice in music education. We bring together organisations and practitioners working across four key music specialisms: Challenging Circumstances, Early Years, Youth Voice and Singing.

Soundcastle is a London-based social enterprise dedicated to devising and leading creative music workshops and projects.  Whether working with professional artists or members of the community, our primary goal is always the same: to promote and facilitate the creation of new music, which is entirely reflective of the creative voices of each project's participants.

The Learning and Participation programme at Southbank Centre (meaning collectively The Royal Festival Hall, The Queen Elizabeth Hall, The Purcell Room, The Hayward Gallery and all of the connecting outdoor areas, gardens and foyer spaces between the London Eye and BFI Southbank) sees artists and communities coming together to create a new kind of arts organization.  Founded on the history of the site as the location of the Festival of Britain and driven by a belief in the right for all to have access to the arts as part of the festivals presented throughou

Southbank Sinfonia’s primary aim is to ensure that the most promising young players – destined to be the caretakers of orchestral tradition – are not lost to the profession in the difficult period following college. The orchestra achieves this by celebrating and empowering young musicians to achieve their highest potential individually and as a team. Each year, a new orchestra of 32 players is selected and these young professionals undergo an intensive ten-month programme of orchestral, chamber and solo performance and professional development.

Over 25 years, Spitalfields Music has developed a strong reputation as a pioneering learning organisation and catalyst for producing exceptional music projects in East London. wW deliver 250 workshops and events every year, reaching nearly 6,500 local residents. Delivering projects to our neighbourhood schools increases cross-cultural communication and builds core skills such as literacy, numeracy and team-work. Music in the Community brings opportunities to those who may not otherwise have access to the arts.

The Hallé's Award Winning Education Programme was established in 1989 and has now grown to the point where it generates in excess of 60 projects a year, reaching more than 44,000 people in various parts of the community from nurseries, schools, special needs centres and prisons to youth clubs and the elderly. The Education Programme complements the Hallé's annual schedule of concerts and is central to the Orchestra's artistic strategy.

We are the National Foundation for Youth Music. Every year, we provide more than 100,000 young people with the opportunity to make music, helping them to overcome the challenges they face in their lives. Our music projects support young people to develop their creative and social skills and make positive contributions to their community.

The ethos of support and nurture run throughout The Sixteen’s thriving education programme. Whether it’s introducing oratorio to babies, mentoring choristers across the country, working with over 1500 Key Stage 2 pupils a year, training teachers, nurturing student composers and conductors, or working with 800 amateur singers through our Choral Workshop Series, we delight in inviting choral fans of all ages and backgrounds into our world.

Tim is a composer and project leader with a specialty in large scale devised, collaborative and interactive music performance. His work encompasses a diverse range of contexts with a focus on the uniqueness of any given place and the people that occupy it. His practice typically involves collaborating with teams of local artists and musicians and working alongside them throughout the larger community to create multi-layered performances with a unique connection to the culture.

Town Hall and Symphony Hall are managed together by Performances Birmingham Limited.  Between them, the two halls present an exciting and varied programme of over 600 concerts and events a year, connecting people of all ages and backgrounds to music from jazz, folk, world, roots and classical, to rock and pop.  Over 500,000 people visit Town Hall and Symphony Hall annually, and almost 12,000 young people and 6,000 adults participate in the thriving Education and Community programme.
