Paul Griffiths is an internationally renowned music educationalist, project leader, composer and performer. His musical roots lie in jazz, rock and funk but through his work he has developed a unique artistic voice and flexible workshop style that transcends musical, social, cultural and age barriers. His work is underpinned by a commitment to providing high quality musical access to all and a profound understanding of the impact that creative arts work can have upon individuals and communities.

The Philharmonia Orchestra’s award-winning education programme offers diverse and inspiring participatory musical activities for more than 15,000 participants annually across the UK and internationally. Innovative digital resources are available online via the Orchestra’s website, whilst far-reaching ‘live’ education work enables people in London and regional residency areas including Bedford, Leicester, Basingstoke and beyond to access the orchestra’s excellent artistic resources in a variety of imaginative ways.

Psappha works with children, young people, students and adults, from elementary to advanced level, to support and build composition skills.

7 to 11 year olds:  Working with children to equip and inspire them to compose and perform for themselves. Psappha performs a special programme designed to introduce children to new music. Along the way we give tips and pointers to help children identify different textures, sounds, rhythms, moods and effects which they can adapt and use for themselves. The project comes with a rich resources pack.

Bringing a unique take to the classical piano trio,  contemporary London based ensemble, Quest Trio comprised of Filipe Sousa, (piano), Tara Franks (cello), and Preetha Narayanan (violin) collaboratively create original work with a distinctive sound that blends improvisation with devised composition. All graduates of the Guildhall School of Music Leadership Programme and experienced workshop leaders individually, Quest transfer their own collaborative composition methods to community settings.

Richard Frostick studied piano and singing at the Royal Academy of Music and is now acknowledged as one of the UK’s premier singing leaders.  In London he is founder and director of two music centres that provide high quality tuition for 500 children and young people.  In this role he has prepared young choirs for six BBC Prom concerts and for numerous performances on television and radio.  He was also series consultant on the popular BBC1 series ‘Play It Again’.  He now works across the country as a singing workshop leader and choral cond

RPO resound is the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’s ground-breaking Community and Education programme. With an emphasis on broadening access to and engagement with world-class music-making, RPO resound works with a wide range of participant groups, from homeless shelters to primary schools.
