Sitting at the heart of Aldeburgh Music is Aldeburgh Education.  A year-round, award-winning programme that delivers high quality music projects to young people, amateurs and the community. Working locally with a full breadth of the community including school pupils and teachers, young people with multiple complex needs, dementia sufferers, prisoners, the wider community and artists.  This has included a highly acclaimed production of Noye’s Fludde in Lowestoft for the Britten Centenary.

Friday Afternoons takes our work to the international stage. Friday Afternoons was without doubt the largest event of the worldwide Britten celebrations for the centenary involving 100’s of partners up and down the UK as well as internationally.  This international singing project is now set to continue, encouraging young people world-wide to sing, whilst also developing partnerships, creating new commissions and celebrating young people and the voice.
